The Story Behind The Rowdy Rose Boutique!

     Hi friends!

First off, I would like to welcome you to the Rowdy Rose Boutique and thank you for taking the time to check us out!  Opening a boutique was something I always wanted to do, I just wasn’t sure where to start and how to go about it.  From the time I was a little girl, I had a deep love for fashion and getting dressed up.  As a child, I would put on my mother’s heels, one of my costume princess dresses, several purses, my favorite sunglasses and model all over the house.  Growing up I loved riding horses, raising and showing livestock, and competing in rodeos and rodeo queen pageants.  One of my favorite things as a rodeo queen was being able to help design my wardrobe.  As Miss Rodeo Texas, I had the opportunity to work with some of the top designers in the Western apparel industry.  I learned how to select colors and styles to flatter different body types and put together one of a kind outfits.  I dreamed of being able to one day own my own store, and select outfits to help others dress in a way that makes them feel confident and beautiful.

As I graduated college and the time came for me to get a job, I felt pressured to start working and make use of my degree.  I put my dream on the back burner and began my career as a teacher.  Don’t get me wrong, I loved teaching and working with students to help them achieve their dreams, however inside I felt like my own dreams were fading away.  How could I teach others to believe anything was possible through hard work and determination when I wasn’t a living example of what I was telling my students?

One day, while driving down the road I shared with my husband, Clint, my dream of starting up a boutique.  At the time we were going to be getting married in a few short months and I was worried that he would be nervous about me quitting my job to start a new business adventure.  I was somewhat surprised when he said he thought it was a great idea and gave me the extra encouragement to go ahead and give it a go. So, after months of praying, thinking it over and trying to decide if I could make it work, I decided to take a leap of faith and do it! Thank you for supporting one of my life dreams! I hope you enjoy shopping with us!
